Hessle High School Crime and Safety Awareness Day 27/03/15
On Friday 27th March 2015 the PMNW team attended Hessle High School in East Yorkshire.
There were 200 year 9 pupils taking part in the Crime and Safety Awareness Day. Thanks to all PMNW staff and agencies including Magistrates, Prison dogs, Askham Grange girls, BUSWISE, Crime Scene Investigation and Electronic Monitoring Service, the pupils had a varied and interesting experience.
Having the EMS tagging team along was a first for the East Riding school. The workshop went down very well dispelling a lot of rumours around the tagging system which is an alternative to imprisonment.
Pupils who attended the CSI workshop were very impressed, going away with their very own fingerprint on a key ring.
The day was a great success with all pupils saying that they had taken something valuable from the day.
Roll on Hessle High School’s next Crime and Safety Awareness Day.
