New YAG lead

The YAG would like to introduce the new Lead, former member Nikita Ainley. Nikita is a member of the Trust office team and Crime & Safety Awareness Day presenters, delivering her workshop about her time in prison.

Nikita says: I was lucky enough to get involved with Prison! Me? No-Way! as a volunteer talking to the young people in schools whilst serving a prison sentence, highlighting how just one bad decision can lead to a custodial sentence.

Upon my release last September The No Way Trust Ltd gave me the biggest opportunity I could have wished for, A JOB! Not just any job but one I knew I would love!

I will have big shoes to fill taking on the role of the Youth Advisory Group from former lead Hamzah however, I am very keen and excited to get started! Through my personal experience I am determined to help persuade and educate others from making my mistake.

I hope with my young shoulders I can lead the group forward with an aim to work with many young people around the UK identifying the needs of the young people and making sure the Trust is current and in date, through youth advisory councils, feedback, observations and research.

The Trust and the YAG team want to say a huge thank you to Hamzah and wish him well as he now heads off back to University to undertake his Master Degree.  Hamzah wants to remain with the YAG and the Trust as a volunteer.
