Our Crime and Safety Awareness Days are back in full Swing – St John’s, Bishop Auckland – 24th September 2018

St John’s school. Bishop Auckland. 24/9/18 My first school of the new academic year was at St John’s in Bishop Auckland.

The day was presented to over 200 year eleven pupils.

My thanks go to the following agencies who kindly gave up their time to support the day.

PCSO Tim Thompson presented Hate Crime.

Ged and his colleagues kindly transferred their Magistrate court into the school.

Graham brought along three residents from Askham Prison to present the ever popular and hard-hitting Choices workshop.

The PMNW staff included the following.

Neil presented You Be The Judge.

Larry and Dennis, along with some pupils acted out the Street Life workshop.

Gerry and Dave talked about Prison Life that included a trip to the cell van.

Ben facilitated his Harassment and Relationship workshop.

My final thanks go to John Palmer and Louis Wilkinson, the lead teacher who between them organised the whole event.

A fantastic day had by all concerned.

Pat Tuohy.

Crime Day Lead.
