St John’s RC School – Monday 30th April 2018

My latest Crime and Safety Awareness day was at St John’s RC in Bishop Auckland.

Once again, I cannot express how thankful and how much I appreciate everyone’s hard work that was involved in the day. I would like to thank the following staff and agencies who attended the day and continue to do such an amazing job, both within the workshop and behind the scenes.

Kath and Ollie who presented their humorous and effective Street Life Workshop.

Larry, Dave, Taff and Sean who talked to the Year 10 pupils about prison life and what to expect if this is the path you choose to go down.

Rev, Jenny and two of the Askham residents who once again had the young people mesmerised with their truthful, honest and thought-provoking workshop.

Ged who brought along his Magistrates colleagues who continue to show us so much support and loyalty.

Paul brought along a colleague from the AA group.

Thanks to Bob from Northern Power Grid.

As well as all these fantastic staff and agencies who were involved in the Crime Day, I would also like to give a massive thanks to John Palmer, as usual he was immense as both organiser of the day and behind the scenes. He certainly made my job of leading the day a simple one.

Thanks to Mr Smith who was the lead teacher of the day.

My final thanks must go to the students for their impeccable behaviour and were a credit to not only the school, but to themselves.

It was a fantastic day had by all, and we look forward to returning very soon.

Pat Tuohy.

Lead.
