Board of Trustees

Our trustees

Jennie Byass (Honorary President)

Having retired from teaching in 1998, I ran the Magistrates in the Community Project, at which point somebody told me to get in touch with Paul Wilkinson at PMNW! The rest is history. As a trustee and former chair, it is such a privilege to be involved with these wonderful prison officers and go into schools and tell young people that everything they do has a consequence.

Stephen Rock (Chair & Trustee)

I was elected Chair of Trustees in 2013. As a Youth Worker trainer, and having worked face-to-face in youth centres from 1968 to 1996. I firmly believe that, if we actively engage with young people, we can influence their future decisions and choices. I regularly work on the Crime and Safety Days with the East Yorkshire Magistrates’ Team. I also love anything to do with motorbikes!

Michael Reid (Treasurer and Trustee)

Matthew Raper (Trustee)

Matt is a teacher and actor, appearing in films, on TV and on the stage. With his company, Touchstone Shakespeare Theatre, he delivers drama workshops to young people with special educational needs, in particular, those with autism. His association with PMNW! dates back to the very start when he appeared in the trust’s first film.

David Grantham (Trustee)

I am a serving police officer currently seconded to the Hull Youth Justice service. Having joined Humberside police in 1990, my current role requires me to work with the most prolific young offenders in the city. They are aged from 10 to 18 and my job is to manage and support those young people through their court orders.

Graham Macdonald (Trustee)

I have been an active supporter of the trust for over five years and became a trustee in 2013. I passionately believe in seeking to keep youngsters away from the criminal justice system and ensure that they get the best life chances they can. As a magistrate in East Riding adult and youth courts, magistrate colleagues and I give youngsters in schools a taste of the criminal justice system using a court trial role-play and a sentencing exercise. I am also a governor of an East Riding Secondary School that hosts PMNW! workshops. I am also a chartered accountant and was a finance director and company secretary.
